Established in 1985, the Lincoln Center Theater makes an effort to keep its admission prices low and shows available to all patrons. Located on West 65th Street in New York, the theater offers a membership program in which 3,000 individuals can purchase tickets to productions at the theater, the Beaumont, or on Broadway for just $42.
One of the shows performed at the Lincoln Center Theater is Rodger and Hammerstein’s The King and I, which runs through March 2016. The almost three-hour production includes a 15-minute intermission. It won four 2015 Tony Awards. Individual recipients include Kelli O’Hara for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, Ruthie Ann Miles for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, and Catherine Zuber for Best Costume Design of a Musical. The show also won in the Best Revival of a Musical category.
